My mother is an alcoholic. Not having anyone or anywhere to go to to talk about this (aside from a weekly counselling session), I decided to set up this blog.

For now, it’s a place to air my frustrated powerlessness, my anger and feelings of abandonment, amongst other things.

I would love for it to become somewhere other people can go, where they can submit and share their stories and hopefully feel a little less alone in what they’re going through. 

This blog was named for my own experiences, and that name might change over time. It is open to daughters and sons and children, of alcoholic mothers, fathers or both. I personally will try support any and everyone who might need it, though my specific experience is as an adult daughter of an alcoholic mother, whom I still live with.
